The Acquerelli Table Lamp is named after the Italian watercolour technique — 'acquerello' — and the name is earned. Each lamp is blown from hand-worked glass that is coloured through its full thickness using a technique that produces the same fluid, luminous colour gradations that characterise watercolour painting on paper. The green amber gradients that shift from dense saturated colour at the base to near-transparency at the top are unique per piece and impossible to replicate in mass-produced glass.
